Rich Strack

Rich is a retired high school teacher and current published novelist, produced playwright, recorded songwriter, weekly columnist, and feature sportswriter for the Times News. Married to Stacie, two children, Richie 13, Sadie, 11.

His novel,” Upon a Field of Gold” is premised upon his psychological encounter with the soul of a Civil War confederate soldier through a past life experience. Perhaps against his own will, Rich was compelled to write the story of 19 year old Joshua Park from Alabama who fought in Pickett’s Charge at the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863.
Besides past life experiences, his novel explores the transcendence of two young lovers from the 19th century who seek a second chance to be together nearly a century and a half later.
A Hollywood executive producer screenplay of “Upon a Field of Gold” is currently in progress.
